Abdul Aziz
General Manager Bus Operations & ITS
Abdul Aziz is one of the pioneers of operating the Bus Rapid Transit Service (BRTS) in Karachi. He is currently leading the two BRTS projects (The Green & Orange Line) of Karachi as a General Manager – Bus Operations and ITS. He is a Civil Engineer with MSc in Transport Planning from the Edinburg Napier University and has extensive experience in working in both public (federal and provincial governments both) and private sector (Consultancy). Previously, he also led the teams which worked closely with the World Bank and Asian Development Bank to plan the operations of the Yellow and Red Lines BRTS respectively.
Muhammad Bilal Khalid
Manager Communications & Non-Fare Revenues
Bilal has a very diverse academic and professional profile with expertise in the fields of urban development and business management. His academic profile includes an MSc in Spatial Planning (Oxford Brookes University) and MBA in Marketing. His professional Profile is equally diverse with experience in working in the urban development planning and FMCG sector. As Communications and Business Development Manager at SIDCL (Green Line BRTS), he leads the media, marketing, and business development management of the Green & Orange Line BRTS. Previously he has worked with a transport planning consultancy firm where he played a key role in developing the transport industry restructuring, marketing, and Non-Fare Revenue (NFR) generation plans for the BRTS mass transit network of Karachi.
Wajid Saleem
Manger Bus Operations
Wajid has an extensive experience of over 12 years of working on various BRTS projects across Pakistan. He has been part of the teams which established the initial BRTS projects in the country. Previously he has worked in different capacities in both public and private sectors on the Rawalpindi – Islamabad and Multan BRTS. As Manager Operations at the SIDCL he is leading the entire Bus Operations and Stations Management structure of both Green and Orange Line BRTS. His academic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Transportation Planning & Engineering. Moreover, he has also participated in various training on Intelligent and Integrated transportation systems.
